HSNS moves, adds, and changes.

This document details how to place requests for moves, adds or changes for HSNS circuits.

Overview

Orders to make changes to HSNS circuits are placed in Wireline.

https://www.wireline.co.nz/

Business Rules and Guidance

You must submit a feasibility request for all moves, adds and changes - including access speed and/or service bandwidth changes, handover link changes, and internal removals.

Our business hours are 8am to 5pm.

We need at least 5 business days’ notice for changes requested during business hours.

We need at least 10 business days’ notice for changes requested after hours.  After hours work is only available for HSNS Premium service and will incur after hour charging.

You will need to provide a technical contact as well as a site contact. The technical contact needs remote access to the router to test and make any configuration changes on line with the change request. The technical contact details (with a NZ contact phone number) needs to be provided at least 24hrs prior to the booking.

For a standard speed change or change of handover, we book a 30 minute  appointment. The actual outage should only be up to 5 minutes, although allow a 30 minute change window.

New Connection (Diversity)

If you are wanting a diverse connection to your existing circuit, you will need to engage with our Solutions Managers. They can be contacted on Chorus.Solutions@chorus.co.nz

Speed or Bandwidth change

All access speed or service bandwidth changes must have a feasibility submitted before an order is placed.

If the access speed or service bandwidth change is from 2wire to 4wire or vice versa, you will need to submit new connection and then disconnection orders.

If the access speed change is increasing to 1Gig, you may need to submit a new connection and then subsequent disconnection order, depending on the existing network capacity. The feasibility request will determine and clarify this.

Relinquish - Generic Orders

In some cases, existing circuit numbers may appear as 'Invalid' in Wireline.   The typical reason for this is a previous Relinquishment order was created and subsequently cancelled.  In this situation, Wireline no longer recognises the circuit number.  To create a Wireline request, you need to submit a "Wholesale Generic Form" and add circuit numbers as free text.
