We’re confirming our support team’s availability and planned work restrictions, over the 2016/2017 holiday period.

What's happening?

We want to minimise the risk of network faults and customer disruptions during the holidays. This means we’ll be putting a hold on planned network events. Don’t worry though. Our operational teams will still be available, ensuring your teams are supported during this time. 

What's the detail?

These are the key dates to be aware of:

Chorus offices

Our offices will be closed from 23 December 2016, and reopen on 11 January 2017. However, certain teams will still be available as per below.

Provisioning activity

• Provisioning teams will continue, excluding statutory holidays.
• Ready for service dates provided, will reflect the availability of field technicians.

Network maintenance and fault restoration

• Network brown out period starts at 18:00 21 December 2016 until 08:00 11 January 2017.
• We’ll continue providing full fault restoration capability throughout the holiday period.
• Standard notification lead times apply throughout and after the holidays. Any work being carried out between 11-18 January 2017, needs to have a change request raised before the close of business on 16 December 2016. 
• Proactive maintenance will continue on-plan, except for work within exchanges and cabinets. These will be restricted during the brown out period.

Colocation services (COLO)

• Restrictions will be in place for any COLO build work including the installation of sub-racks, racks or connection of new equipment to power / network services.
• There are no restrictions if you’re accessing your COLO equipment for maintenance.

Network build

• All pre-agreed UFB and subdivision build work will continue as normal.
• Any build work that creates a risk to existing core / access network elements, will be restricted and deferred until after the New Year period.
