Notification of consultation for withdrawal of UFB services from OO&T and SSP

We are providing notice under the UFB Services Agreement that we wish to consult with you in relation to our desire to move ordering of all UFB services to only the Chorus Portal no earlier than 7 November 2015.

What's happening?

Following the introduction of the Chorus Portal for the ordering of UFB services, we have begun consultation through the UFB Product Forum regarding these technology changes:

  • A change, when ordering Chorus’ UFB Services, from using the current practice of using three separate systems: OSS/BSS - OO&T (Wireline), Netcracker Self Service Portal (SSP) and the new “Chorus Portal”  to only using the Chorus Portal for such orders; and
  • The withdrawal of the ability to order Chorus’ UFB Services from Wireline or Netcracker.

What's the detail?

We tabled this change at the product forum on 7 August 2014 with detail or order types impacted, and have provided formal notice to both the Product Forum, the named persons in the UFB Service Agreements and now, this informer.

We will consult for 90 days until 7 November 2014 and ask that you provide feedback directly or at the product forum. We will then announce the outcome of this consultation.
