To improve your ability to manage UFB Handover Connection upgrades or reconfiguration, we’re making UFB Handover Grooming available from 5 April 2019.

Handover Grooming can assist you with managing your UFB Handover Link Aggregation Group (LAG) expansion, or reconfiguration, where port capacity limitations occur on a network card. It allows Handovers to be migrated between card slots on a Handover switch to help support your LAG upgrades or expansion. Doing this means you don’t have to remap each fibre access onto a new Handover Connection giving you cost and time savings.
 

What’s changing

We’re making Handover Grooming available as a new service to support your ability to upgrade from 1Gbps to 10Gbps Handovers or expand your existing LAG capacity. We’ll assess your Handover LAG upgrade, or expansion, request for the required port capacity and advise whether Grooming is possible.

There is a $550.00 charge for the Handover Grooming service.

Handover Grooming is optional and there is no obligation on you to accept the solution, however in some cases it may be the only way we can expand your existing Handover LAG.

Please note that from 5 October 2020, UFB Handover connection grooming will also be available on 10Gbps to 100Gbps upgrade.
