Free upgrade for entry-level fibre customers

As part of our fifth birthday celebrations we’re increasing all 30Mbps residential plans to 50Mbps by early 2017.

What's happening?

Every month the average data use in New Zealand continues to grow, so as part of our goal to bring New Zealand better broadband we’ve decided to increase our entry-level residential plans to 50Mbps, for free.

What's the detail?

We start small-scale testing on the live network next week. If successful we’ll be in a position to present our proposed implementation plan the following week.

We expect to start migrating your 30Mbps customers as quickly as possible in the new year and will work with you at the network layer to manage this upgrade. You’ll continue to order exactly the same as you do today.

Don’t worry, your fibre customers will not need to do anything. With the new plan, all entry-level fibre customers will immediately see download speeds of up to 50Mbps using their existing fibre-compatible modems.

As every network’s unique, your service delivery manager will be booking time with you to walk through the details.
