Extending our MDU support offer

Across New Zealand there are over 70,000 tenancies in multiple dwelling units (MDUs) that are fibre ready. We know that connecting individual units can be tricky. That’s why we introduced extra resources via our MDU Bulk Service Request last year. This offer was scheduled to expire 30 June 2017.

What’s changing

The good news is that we’re extending it for another 3 months. The MDU Bulk Service Request offer will now be available until 30 September 2017.

Signing the offer gives you extra support with the end-to-end installation process. It includes extra resources from our Managed Provisioning team. They'll work with the service companies carrying out the bulk service request - at no charge.

You’ll find full details of the offer and a new list of high propensity MDU sites here. We’ll flag eligible ‘preferred addresses’ with straight forward connections, for targeting as a part of this offer.

Note all orders must meet the following criteria:
•    All orders are for NGA Bitstream services.
•    Orders are at a ‘preferred address’ on the provided list (or agreed by Chorus at the time of request).
•    There are a minimum of 10 orders per requested site.
Once the above criteria are met, our Managed Provisioning staff will work with you to arrange how and when to place the order.

Next steps

For those already signed, please ask your account manager for an extension letter to continue until 30 September 2017. For those who'd like to sign, you’ll find an updated offer letter and the new MDU list (with ‘preferred addresses’) under Resources on this page.
