From 30 May 2016 we are supplementing the Chorus Co-Innovation Laboratory (CCIL) with two new Next Generation Access (NGA) offers that can be used for production prototyping and testing.

What's happening?

The CCIL test service is a production-based test facility service that supplements our Chorus Co-Innovation Laboratory. It will give you access to limited, informal and formal testing of NGA offers within your premises.

We’ve now updated the draft Service Description that was presented to the product forum in November 2015 with industry feedback and will make the service available to order from 30 May 2016.

What's the detail?

The CCIL test service description provides for both a primary and a secondary NGA production test offers and supports:

• The ability for you to evaluate NGA services in a production environment
• The ability to trial changes to our network in a controlled manner so problems or defects can be identified and resolved
• The development of new fibre services and features, providing such services and features can be configured without impacting your customer’s services.

The CCIL test service is available where we offer NGA and is delivered over a production UFB Handover connection. This service should not be seen as a replacement for CCIL, but is a supplementary service that can also support co-innovation for those customers outside Auckland and Wellington:

Can use any feature or parameter values, even if these are not in productionCan use non-production features and parameter values IF these are available in production software and hardware AND these features or parameter values do not impact other users.
