We need to select a new GPON ONT, and we want to hear what features you would like the next one to have.

We have received an ‘end of sale’ notice from Nokia for the type 400 GPON ONT as its manufacture will soon cease. We have placed a final order which is forecast to meet demand up to November 2025.  

This new 5th Gen GPON ONT (model type 500) would become our new standard ONT for core NGA connections.

We will be running workshops in late July to discuss this.

We are interested in hearing about technical requirements, form factor, etc. We have not currently selected a preferred ONT.

As previously consulted on, we are reviewing options for our next Hyperfibre ONT. We will endeavour to minimise impact by grouping system changes and allowing for testing both ONTs at the same time.
