We have been working through the pre-production steps associated with the introduction of the new 2nd Gen Hyperfibre ONT. Regrettably, we must inform you that the launch, previously planned for late 2024, has been delayed until at least early 2025. This decision was made as our testing concluded that the ONT did not meet our full requirements. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologise for any disruption to your plans. 

Rest assured, we are actively working on selecting a new ONT that meets our quality standards. Throughout this process, we will keep you informed and involved, and will look to coordinate and optimise deployments with you to align with any delivery to market. 

We continue to have supply of the existing XGS-PON ONT and are re-evaluating the product and deployment timing of future ONTs. We will work closely with you as this unfolds. As such we are delaying the proposed RSP testing of the new ONT. Our forecast indicates that we have sufficient stock of the 1st Gen Hyperfibre ONT (Type 110) available to manage demand through to the launch of the revised ONT. We are also going to start installing Single Port ONTs on Business Hyperfibre orders, which will see this supply of Hyperfibre ONTs go further.

We will update the project page and review the customer roadmaps regularly. We are committed to transparency and will update these platforms as new developments arise.
