Hyperfibre Tail Extension - new product launch
We are expanding our current NGA Tail Extension Service (TES) to include Hyperfibre.
What's happening?
To enable you to serve customers in a wider area without the need to expand your backhaul network, we are planning to launch Hyperfibre Tail Extension Service on 7 May 2022 (subject to Product Forum endorsement).
What's the detail?
In November 2021, we asked for your feedback on our proposal to expand our current NGA Tail Extension Service (TES) to include Hyperfibre.
We received some feedback during the consultation period, which we have responded to. In this instance we have decided to proceed with our original proposal.
This is an official notice that we are launching Hyperfibre TES on 7 May 2022 (subject to Product Forum feedback and approval. We will advise before May if this results in any change, but if not then the launch will proceed as indicated).
For Hyperfibre 2000 Mbps (2Gig) and 4000 Mbps (4Gig) plans, we are introducing TES to POIs nationwide. For Hyperfibre 8000 Mbps (8Gig) plans, TES is only available to POIs located in the areas where these plans are offered (i.e., Auckland connections to Wellington POIs and vice versa).
Pricing for the Hyperfibre TES steps is outlined below.
