New product: 100Gbps UFB Handover connection
Thank you for your feedback on the 100Gbps UFB Handover connection consultation in July. You’ve told us you would like the 100Gbps UFB single port to go live as soon as possible whilst waiting for the geo-diversity handover connection to develop.
We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be launching the 100Gbps UFB non-diverse/single port handover connection on 5th October 2020, along with re-introducing the existing 100Gbps UFB active and standby port card diverse handover connections at a new price point.
What’s happening
Chorus currently offers a 100Gbps UFB handover connection as a trial product in two product variants:
- 1+1 active and standby ports support 31,900 services, priced at $5,146 per month
- 2+2 active and standby ports support 63,800 services, priced at $10,292 per month
The new 100Gbps UFB handover connection product family from 5 October is:
- 1+0 active and standby port supports 31,900 services, priced at $1,800 per month
- 2+0 active and standby ports support 63,800 services, priced at $3,600 per month
- 1+1 active and standby ports support 31,900 services, priced at $3,750 per month
- 2+2 active and standby ports support 63,800 services, priced at $7,500 per month

To order a 100Gbps single port handover connection, please follow the existing bundle service order process in Wireline. You can also upgrade a 10Gbps port to a 100Gbps port by following the UFB Handover Connection Grooming process (subject to port availability).
