Reminder: B2B withdrawal in 3 months and API fixes
As you all know, Chorus is withdrawing B2B Webservices, our legacy B2B integration channel, on 25 September 2025. This channel has been replaced with the Fibre API suite, designed to support seamless fibre ordering and management.
We already have a number of RSPs transitioned to using the Fibre APIs for all fibre-related operations and have received positive feedback on ease of build, including documentation and some changes, which we have made recently to improve.
What you need to know
- The Chorus Portal (web interface) will continue to be available as per normal.
- If you currently use the Chorus Portal for manual order submission and management, now is the ideal time to consider automating these processes via our APIs.
- API integration also enables you to offer self-service capabilities through your own customer portals - such as plan changes and service requests - enhancing your customer experience.
API fixes
As planned, the test environments and API documentation have been updated as of 24 June 2025. The next step is the production release scheduled for 25 July 2025.
These updates address several inconsistencies between the API behaviour and the published specifications. While most changes are low risk, we recommend reviewing the updated documentation and testing your integration to ensure everything continues to work as expected. Access to APIs and documentation can be found on our API Explorer webpage.
Screen-scraping
Please be aware that screen-scraping the Chorus Portal or Assure website is not supported. This level of automation is unreliable and prone to failures impacting processes and customer experience. Our APIs offer a reliable way of managing orders and automating processes.
