Delay to ‘more consistency around advance notice’ initiative

In February we communicated changes for planned upgrades related to our Regional Ethernet Network (REN) end-of-life and affected workstreams. We covered several changes across:

  • The planned upgrade outage experience
  • A new small business fibre pre-business hour slot (6am-9am)
  • More consistency around advance notice
  • Daytime ISAM migrations

The improvement initiative ‘more consistency around advance notice’ to provide a minimum 5 business days’ notice for planned outages across Bitstream BS2 services has taken longer than expected, and we haven’t been able to implement the changes as planned. We now expect the changes to be fully delivered across this initiative by 23 April 2024

All other changes including the improvements across Small Business Fibre are in place now. We hope these changes will provide a positive experience for you and your customers going forward.
