Business Hyperfibre needs an ONT that supports the plan features for the Business and Education sectors. Business Hyperfibre is currently supported through the use of Gen1 ONT, but the Gen2 ONT doesn’t support VLAN transparency.
We’re proposing to make the Single Port ONT (currently used with High Priority Access) available with Business Hyperfibre plans (Bitstream 3a).
The Single Port ONT is an XGS-PON ONT that provides a single customer-facing 10G/ 5G/ 2.5G/ 1000M/ 100M Base-T RJ45 Ethernet port and a single network-facing XGS-PON fibre port.
We are seeking customer feedback on this proposal via this online feedback form by 18 October 2023 (4 weeks). We will share consultation outcomes after the conclusion of the consultation period.
