Small Business Fibre, our service designed for Small Business is now available to order

What’s happening

Small Business Fibre, our new fibre product specifically designed for the needs of Small businesses, is now available to order.  Customers that are currently ordering Bitstream Fibre products from Chorus can now order Small Business Fibre by simply logging into the Chorus Portal and selecting the relevant Small Business Fibre plan from the menu.


Ordering Small Business Fibre using the Chorus Portal

You can order the new Small Business Fibre offers by logging into the Chorus Portal and creating an order as you would normally.  From the Products section choose the Small Business Fibre plan that you require and submit the order.

Ordering Small Business Fibre using the Chorus Business to Business Gateway

If you currently submit fibre orders to Chorus using the Chorus Portal Business to Business Gateway and you want to order Small Business Fibre, you will need to update any existing integration you have with Chorus with the new Product Offer ID for the product.  These are as follows:

38051 - Small Business Fibre 500

38052- Small Business Fibre 500*

38053- Small Business Fibre 500 RBI

38101- Small Business Fibre 920

38102- Small Business Fibre 920*

38054- Small Business Fibre 920 RBI

 

Note:

38051, 38101 are Chorus UFB zone

*38052, 38102 are Non-UFB zone

38053, 38054 are RBI area 
 

Logging faults for Small Business Fibre using OFM

Following the  launch of Small Business Fibre, you will see the new service listed in the Affected Service drop down menu in OFM/Chorus Gateway.

To log a problem report/fault ticket for Small Business Fibre, please select the Next Generation Access – Small Business Fibre option from the dropdown menu. 

Failing to do so will delay the investigation of the affected circuit as our Assure team will reject the ticket and ask for it to be logged again under the correct service type.  Do not select Next Generation Access – Evolve BS2.

In the Site Instructions section please ensure you include Business Name, Business hours and site contact details as you would with raising any other business grade service fault ticket.

Logging faults for Small Business Fibre using the Assure B2B

Customers that are utilising the Assure B2B to raise Fibre faults need to configure their systems to send faults against the following:

  • Service: Next Generation Access: Small Business Fibre
  • Work Division: UE

Updates to the Broadband Checker Business

With the launch of Small Business Fibre we have made changes to the Broadband Checker Business on the Chorus Service Provider website and the Broadband Checker Business API to enable the display of addresses where Small Business Fibre will be available.

Please note that the change to the Broadband Checker Business API only impacts Service Providers that wish to adopt Small Business Fibre.  If a Service Provider is not ready to sell Small Business Fibre or does not wish to implement the change just yet, the existing product set will continue to display on their versions of the Broadband Checker Business.      

Software developers can access the updated API RAML, and version release notes about the minor change for Broadband Checker Business API on the Chorus Mulesoft Exchange Site.  

Additionally version v1.2 of the API has been updated with the additional information to support the launch of the Small Business Fibre product.

Better on Business Offer Eligibility Period

The Better on Business offer is our incentive to support the launch of Small Business Fibre. The eligibility period for qualifying orders commences today and runs until 30 June 2020 and will be paid on service given up until 30 September 2020.  Details of the Better on Business Offer can be found here.
