At Chorus, we are committed to ensuring every Kiwi has access to fast reliable broadband. Where we aren’t operating the fibre network we have upgraded most of our copper network to improve speed and reliability of VDSL connections.

Through this upgrade more than 190,000 Kiwis are now able to access our best copper broadband connection: vectored VDSL, which can deliver speeds of up to 130Mbps and 70Mbps on average.

From 1 February we have been supporting those who participated to get more Kiwis onto the best available copper broadband services.  Having taken on board your feedback, our team designed an offer that makes it easy for you to promote better broadband options to Kiwis, grow your connection base and maximise your revenue where the Chorus fibre network is not available.  This offer was due to end 31 July, we are delighted to now be able to extend this further to 29 November 2019. 

How does it work?

You will receive a credit for each new connection, upgrade, and transfer with upgrade when you submit an order to the best available copper broadband plan and that meets the criteria.

Orders received within the now extended offer period of 1 August to 29 November 2019 will be eligible and paid on service given 30 days from the offer termination date. If you have already signed then all you need to do is provide your marketing plan of areas you would like to target, if you have not yet signed and wish to participate you will have until 31 July 2019 to sign up to be part of this.

Further conditions of the offer

  • This offer has been available since 1 February, we are now providing an extended offer that will be made available between 1 August to 29 November 2019
  • This extended offer has one amendment with the upgrade and new connections credits now $50 (reduced from $100)
  • Available in non-Chorus UFB areas and UFB 2 areas where fibre build is post-2020
  • Service Providers must sign up to the offer and submit marketing plan for their selected geographical areas
  • Marketing plans need to show a level of satisfactory activity for the period of the offer
  • Orders received within the offer period for those agreed areas will be eligible and paid on Service Given
  • Eligible orders will need to meet the repayment period of 12 months.
  • Transactional costs include connection fees and in LFC areas, if required, ‘wiring charges’ to activate the connection.

What’s excluded

  • ADSL connections where VDSL is available at the address
  • Chorus UFB areas (UFB1 and UFB 2 where fibre build planned by end of 2019)
  • Offnet addresses where a copper broadband connection was previously active <30 days.
