VDSL
With VDSL you can provide your customers with the best broadband access where fibre-to-the-home isn't available, by using fibre-to-the-node, then copper between the cabinet and the premises. Speeds of up to 130Mbps make VDSL four times faster than ADSL and a smart choice for customers who live short distances from our network. VDSL is a good option for those waiting for fibre to the home. Combine it with Baseband for traditional voice and the ultimate connection experience.
Vectored VDSL - a faster more reliable connection
We’ve been working hard to upgrade parts of our copper network. Once completed more than 190,000 Kiwis will be able to access our best copper broadband connection – ‘vectored VDSL’ (the technical term).
Put simply, vectored VDSL is a technology upgrade at your local telecommunications cabinet that improves the speed and stability of a VDSL connection by reducing interference. Think of it like noise cancelling headphones blocking out any noise.
