Expressions of interest - targeted fibre acquisition support

As part of our strategy to reach 80% fibre uptake by 2030, Chorus is encouraging expressions of interest for targeted fibre acquisition initiatives utilising campaigns specifically targeting Chorus offnet addresses. The additional incentives are available for the remainder of FY26 (through to 30 June 2026), on application and assessment of your planned campaign.

There are two options for supporting channel partner initiatives – partners can choose one of these options, both limited to two campaigns per year:

  1. Targeted incentive support for campaign/migration activity; or

  2. For Channel Partners not taking up that option, an Acquisition Activity Grant. 

 

1. Targeted incentives for offnet campaigns

This initiative supports targeted campaigns focused on acquiring new fibre customers. Campaigns must be using an agreed customer list and include a compelling offer to customers or relate to migration activities. 

Key details: Targeted incentives range from $400 per connection to $600 per connection – latter available for higher value campaigns:

  • Short, focussed campaign activity expected (generally three months with an end customer offer)

  • Minimum of 100 expected connections from the targeted campaign activity

  • Migration activity from another non-copper technology can also be supported (min volumes may apply) 

  • Stackable with baseline incentives (currently the Chorus Fibre Boost incentives and will cover the equivalent H2 incentives where eligibility criteria for both are met).  

In addition, Chorus can provide data and related support to help your campaign succeed.  

Applications for this incentive based on a proposed campaign will be assessed by Chorus to ensure viability for both parties. 

 

2. Acquisition Activity Grant   

An Acquisition Activity Grant is available to support new customer acquisitions through marketing and brand awareness activities. This is available for channel partners who choose this option instead of the per connection targeted incentive.

Key details:  

  • $5,000 per activity, for up to two marketing campaigns by end of FY26, following application and assessment

  • This Grant is ideal for marketing activities that drive visibility and engagement, even without direct consumer offers.
