Chorus high sites – strategic review
We are undertaking a strategic review of our more remote high site properties. The purpose of the review is to explore options to maximise value for Chorus and to optimise its asset base to provide a strong platform for the future as it transitions to a simplified all-fibre business by 2030.
We have approximately 1225 high sites that are located throughout New Zealand predominantly serving our rural and remote end user customers via CMAR and eDMR technology as well as being Wireless Colocation sites for our RSP channel partners and other users.
This strategic review will enable us to explore options and uses for our high sites that align with our objectives and position us for continued success in the marketplace.
We assure you that business operations at high sites will not be disrupted during the review process. We will update you on future plans once the strategic review has been completed which is expected to take a couple of months.
No decisions will be made regarding any potential transactions or other outcome until the completion of the strategic review and until determined otherwise by Chorus the high sites continue to be important components to Chorus’ telecommunications network.
