We believe that business fibre is a great way for Kiwi businesses to connect to their online tools, collaborate, drive productivity, and optimise their outcomes. Our most recent Business Research 2024 highlighted some areas that end-customers value and/or indicated that they might value some improvements.

As such, we are assessing the viability of making some enhancements to our strategic SME business fibre plans. Here is a summary of what is being proposed:

  • We are reviewing ways to enhance restoration levels, to give businesses peace-of-mind during outages, that service will be restored as fast as possible.
  • Ideate the introduction of a 1G symmetrical BS2 plan (1000Mbps download & upload).
  • Propose an increased CIR to support business critical applications such as VoIP, video conferencing and cloud connectivity for strategic Business BS2 plans.

Share your thoughts

We would like to help you grow your SME business fibre connections – and would like your feedback on how strategic business products will look in future.

Consultation closes on 16 October 2024, so please let us know how you feel about these proposed enhancements.
