We recently consulted with you on a proposal to make the Single Port ONT (currently used with High Priority Access) available for Business Hyperfibre plans.

The feedback on our consultation was overwhelmingly positive, with all respondents showing strong or general approval of the proposed initiative.  

We also asked about the effect that this might have on your operations, and the responses showed that it would have negligible or low impact.

And most responses said that they would like to see this done ASAP, (and all responses asked for within six months if possible).

Next steps

As a result, we are planning to make the Single Port ONT available for Business Hyperfibre as soon as we can, which is likely to be in the first few months of 2024 – but this will be confirmed closer to time.

Testing information will be released soon, so that you can ensure the Single Port ONT works as expected for Business Hyperfibre with  your network and hardware context.
