In June, we let you know that we are making a change to Losing Service Provider (LSP) validation for residential/home customers, following the successful trial. The pack attached to that previous update has the technical information, and this change is scheduled for 9 September 2022. 

This change is being made at the request of the industry during the TCF working party review of the Customer Transfer Code. 

For orders where the existing services are in the residential segment, this field will no longer be mandatory and will no longer be validated. RSPs can still gather this information from customers and fill in the form however should be aware that these transfers will no longer be rejected if this is incorrect. 

Please ensure that your frontline teams are ready for this change.
