LSP Validation - Portal and B2B changes
Following industry feedback that, for transfer orders, the validation of Losing Service Provider (LSP) names can pose challenges, Chorus trialled the removal of this validation in mid-2021.
Findings from the trial concluded that this change did not negatively impact the customer experience and we didn’t receive a significant volume of invalid Transfers. Escalations and errors remained low. This trial was a success for residential customers, and we will therefore be removing LSP validation in Chorus Portal for these transfers on 9 September 2022. For security and customer experience purposes the industry requested that Business and Education customers will still require this level of validation.
