The Footprint options that are currently in market were developed pre 2010 at which time the standard Footprint size was 600mm (wide) and 400mm (deep). Some time later the Footprint size was increased to include 600mm (wide) x 500mm (deep).

In the last few years telecommunications equipment has become more server based, which has in turn created a requirement for larger racks of 800mm (wide) by 1000mm (deep).

We have created a new option for a wider Footprint size of 800mm wide for customers to use when they have server type equipment that needs to be installed in Exchange Space. This change will take effect in three months.

Note: These wider Footprints are not available at all Exchanges.
