We’re extending our offer to support the Ministry of Education Broadband rebate
In April 2020, we first announced our Covid-19 MOE Support Package offer. We subsequently extended our connection period twice, with the current final connection date being 30 September 2020. As we continue to work together and through the challenges, we have all experienced, we want to continue to support you by making some amendments to the offer to ensure all addresses are received by the end of the connection period.
What’s happening
In April 2020, we announced our Ministry of Education (MOE) Support Package offer to support you and your agreement with MOE to connect addresses for students in need. On 27 May 2020, we advised that the Connection Period had been extended from 30 May 2020 to 30 June 2020. We subsequently extended the Migration Period again to 30 September 2020, to allow as many households as possible to take advantage of this offer.
Following further conversation with the Ministry of Education, we are now extending the Offer Period to 31 March 2021, providing continued support to families through the rest of the school year. We are also extending the Migration Period to 16 October 2020 to support the final batches of addresses being provided by MOE.
The MOE Support Package offer remains available during the Connection Period to connect broadband to Qualifying Households. However, we know delivering these connections to students in this time has presented a number of challenges. To ensure we can give you more time to connect all homes, we are amending our Covid-19 MOE Support Package terms from the date of this update to allow additional time where necessary, to migrate customers to an Active Connection.
