Launching voluntary Mobile Access service for mobile sites
Today mobile operators use a range of Chorus products to provide connectivity to more than 5,000 cell sites in New Zealand. Taking on board your feedback, we’ve developed a service specifically for mobile cell site backhaul to deliver traffic to your chosen handover.
Our new voluntary Mobile Access service provides a point-to-point 1Gbps “glass only” option for mobile sites in non-UFB areas throughout the country.
Technical benefits
- Connectivity via Chorus OLT (optical line terminator)
- Guaranteed latency
- Glass only UNI option
Commercial benefits
- “Set and forget” operational approach with low overheads, or an incremental bandwidth approach
- Future proofed roadmap to 10G, 25G, 100G so you will never be stranded on legacy products
