What’s changing

We are growing our network capacity to ensure it remains congestion free during the Rugby World Cup 2019™ and beyond. In November 2018 we consulted with you to forecast and plan for Handover growth during this period. Thanks to those of you who have provided us with Handover forecasts. We have completed feasibility assessments for the forecasts we received and are now provisioning the Handover orders.

As we move in to the next phase of planning we are expecting high volumes of Handover remapping leading up to the Rugby World Cup 2019™. We want to support you with this activity and manage this effectively across the industry. In order to facilitate this planning please provide us with a forecast of services that you intend to move to new Handovers.

We are also expanding the availability of Handovers at additional exchanges across the country. Our ordering systems are currently being updated to allow you to place Handover orders at these new exchanges. Note that build dates are estimates only and are subject to change.

Next steps

Please get in touch with your account team by Friday 12 April 2019 with your Handover remapping forecast. If you have not already provided your Handover connection forecasts and placed the orders we encourage you to do so no later than Friday 14 June 2019. This will provide us with enough lead time to fulfill these requests before the Rugby World Cup 2019™.
