Bringing New Zealand better copper broadband

Informer 284: 14 September 2015

Introducing a limited time Bulk Migration Offer for managed migration of eligible connections from Basic UBA to Enhanced UBA

What's happening?

Basic UBA demand is in decline as we offer many better broadband products such as Enhanced UBA, Basic VDSL, Boost VDSL and NGA.

Approximately 53% of existing Basic UBA users could get better broadband and we would like to work with you to provide these users with a better broadband experience.

What's the detail?

To this end, Chorus is introducing a limited time offer to waive certain UBA STD charges to migrate Basic UBA to Enhanced UBA, these being:

  • Change Plan
  • Except to BAU

The criteria to participate in this Bulk Basic UBA Migration Offer are:

  • Register to participate in the migration and sign the Bulk Migration Offer Letter, on or before, 23rd October 2015;
  • Participate in an Onboarding session with Chorus and our third party representative(s) to understand the migration process, including identifying eligible BUBA connections;
  • Nominate a person who will be Chorus’ single point of contact for agreeing and managing the Bulk Basic UBA Migration Plan;
  • Agree a Bulk Migration Plan (including confirming BUBA connections to be migrated and the migration window), with Chorus and our third party representative(s);
  • Complete the bulk migrations as per the agreed Bulk Migration Plan.

The Bulk Basic UBA Migration Offer is available to all Access Seekers (RSPs) who meet the Bulk Basic UBA Migration Offer Criteria.

If you wish to participate please contact your Chorus Account Manager to obtain the Bulk Migration Offer Letter.  To proceed, you will need to accept the terms of the Offer and sign, and return the letter on or before, 23rd October 2015.

Following the registration period we will then engage with you via your Chorus Account Team to discuss the next steps.
