Fibre fulfilment release

On 24 April 2016 we’re making some enhancements to the Chorus Portal.

What's happening?

On 24 April we’ll be releasing three changes into the Chorus Portal:

  • The addition of fibre greenfields information
  • A new code for Chorus reschedules
  • Reducing order lead times

Please note: if the target date changes you will be notified through the planned outage notifications.

What's the detail?

The addition of fibre greenfields information:
A new field called fibre greenfields will be pre-populated with a yes or no. If the address is identified as a yes location, an agree visit will no longer be required. The connect appointment will still need to be scheduled as normal. This will allow for a more informed conversation and setting clear expectations for your customers.

New code for Chorus reschedules:
Currently, if we reschedule an appointment due to our issue, we have to use the code equipment shortage because there isn’t another relevant option. In this release we’re introducing a new code Chorus change, which we will use instead of equipment shortage.

Reduce order lead times:
If an order does not require a Field Technician visit to site we will now schedule the order with a 4 hour lead time for completion.
