Baseband IP's Tail Extension has a price reduction
From 1 April 2017, we’re reducing the price of Baseband IP for steps C and D. Before you ask, this isn’t for April Fools! We just wanted to lower prices, to ensure we’re competitive in the market.
Tail Extension’s pricing was based on the original 2012 launch price. However, we’ve seen significant growth in the Baseband IP market. We’ve taken the opportunity to review our prices, to ensure they’re in line with the current backhaul market.
What's the detail?
Baseband IP’s Tail Extension lets you transport Baseband IP traffic, to a handover connection in another Chorus coverage area. It just needs to be in the same Chorus region.
There are 5 Chorus regions:
- Northland / Auckland
- Central North Island
- Lower North Island
- Upper South Island
- Lower South Island
Coverage areas are the same as specified for Enhanced UBA.
Tail Extension’s step charges are:
- Step A = has no charge and applies where the tail is delivered to a handover connection in the same coverage area.
- Step B = 50 cents
- Step C = $1.00
- Step D = $1.00
