Migration assistance offer for legacy data services to UFB services - Correction

To assist you with the migration of legacy data services to new UFB services in areas where Chorus has built its fibre network we are introducing a Migration Assistance Offer.

Note this informer replaces the version sent at noon today.

What's happening?

Based on discussions with customers we sought feedback at February's UFB Product Forum on legacy data to UFB service migration. As a result we are proposing a Migration Assistance Offer for the transition of legacy data services to UFB services.

What's the detail?

If you would like to migrate legacy fibre or copper data services to UFB NGA or point to point UFB Reference Offer Services we are proposing to offer additional assistance to manage this process.  The offer is intended to provide a smooth transition from legacy to UFB Services in a manner that provides some certainty over changes to costs and timings for the migration.

We first proposed this migration offer at February Product forum and have taken into account feedback received. We welcome further industry feedback up to 27th March 2015, before finalising the offer and preparing the offer documents.

If you are unable to participate in these discussions please provide feedback to your Account Manager by 27 March 2015.  If the feedback to the offer does not result in significantly changes, we will make the offer available on 1 April 2015.  If the feedback is results in significant changes to the offer, we will discuss a revised offer at the Product Forum on the 10 April.

The offer proposes the following process to manage the migrations:

  • Defining the list of the existing services that will be migrated and the proposed service they will migrated to
  • Agree rate of migration per month
  • Enter the agreed number of properly completed orders in the system
  • Provide details of any order that require consent, infrastructure build etc. in advance so pre-work can be undertaken.
  • Orders not completed at agreed rate will be subject to rebates.

The discussion document, being presented at the UFB Product Forum, is available from your Account Manager.

More information on the UFB Product Forum is available on the TCF website.
