Service Delivery Point Grandfathered effective 4 May 2015
From 4 May 2015 our Service Delivery Point (SDP) will no longer be available to be ordered or maintained
What's happening?
Our SDPs were used to provide broadband services in customers’ homes. After an initial trial, there was no demand for this service and therefore the option to request this service is being grandfathered.
What's the detail?
Grandfathering Level 1 means that:
- You will no longer be able to request an SDP
- Existing end-users can keep their SDP
- If an existing end user moves or reports a fault the SDP will be replaced by an alternative solution
While the option to order an SDP will still be available in Netcracker, we will not be able to process the request order and we will, instead, deploy our standard installation of a splitter, jack point etc.
If we receive a fault on one of the existing SDPs we will swap it out with a splitter and jack point to ensure service continues to be provided.
