Serving the SME space

Almost 90% of NZ businesses employ less than 20 staff, making the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) sector highly attractive. Lacking the scale of residential and value of large enterprises, this market has been a challenge to serve. However, broadband and cloud-based technologies are providing new ways to serve this market. Globally, leading telcos are helping SMEs market themselves online, set up online stores, use cloud services and create loyalty schemes previously only available to big businesses. Read more>>

The fibre paradox

Once you've experienced fibre there's no going back, but word of mouth is key. Fibre users are happier with their broadband, willing to try more advanced services and consider broadband quality an important factor when buying a house. But many end-users only perceive these benefits after experiencing fibre, lessening the effectiveness of feature-based marketing. Uptake is likely to drive uptake, creating a snowball effect where word of mouth and getting the basics right early on is important. Read more>>
