Temporary Disconnection of an Overhead Service Lead In
We are refining our processes and making it easy to manage the temporary disconnection of an overhead service lead in.
What's happening?
Is the overhead service lead in preventing your customer from renovating, trimming trees or painting their house? You are now able to order, via the OO&T Add/Remove/Change (ARC) form, a Temporary Disconnection of this lead in.
What's the detail?
We have aligned our end to end process to complete a request to disconnect the physical service lead in for customers. Our service technician will come to your customer’s site and assess what needs to be done for different situations where the lead in is preventing them from completing work at their property. This change takes effect as of 24 February 2015.
While the lead in doesn’t pose a safety risk, it could be inconvenient when customers are trying to move large objects, e.g. yachts etc. in and out of their property, repairing, replacing or painting barge boards or trimming trees.
When the order is placed, we will arrange for a service technician to go to the property and disconnect the lead in as required. For jobs where the disconnection is only required for up to one hour, the technician will stay on site and reconnect the lead in once the work at the property is completed. The cost for this service is $137.97 + GST.
For jobs where the disconnection is required to be in place for more than one hour we will need to send our service technician out twice – once to disconnect the lead in and once to reconnect it when the work on the property is completed. The cost for this service is $137.97 + GST for each visit.
