The trial of the NGA Secondary plans will assist you in getting ready for the launch of NGA Secondary plans in 2015.

What's happening?

From 30 October 2014 you have the opportunity to sign up to the NGA Secondary Plan trial offer agreement to allow you to order NGA Secondary Plans in our UFB zones. These plans use the ONT additional UNI and ATAports where a primary service already exists.

Secondary Offers will only be available to order via the Chorus Portal. Any orders received via OOT will not be accepted.

What's the detail?

We expect to make NGA Secondary Plan offers available in 2015 as part of the UFB family of services.  To assist you in identifying the opportunities and differences in experience the NGA Secondary Plan provides, we are offering a trial to allow you order the plans from 30 October 2014 until 30 October 2015 or until a total of 1,000 orders have been placed.

These plans utilise spare ports on the ONT and are known as Secondary Offers. They are separate and different from the Primary Offers, but can only be provided if there is an existing eligible Primary Offer on the ONT. If this Primary offer is removed then the Secondary Offer must be removed or changed (promoted) to a Primary Offer.  You cannot use these spare ports for additional Primary Offers on the same ONT.

The following four plans are available, for both residential and business customers, in the Chorus Portal and will provide you with a great opportunity to see the challenges and opportunities that Secondary plans offer: 

The trial is limited to a total of 1000 connections in total and they can be anywhere within the Chorus UFB zone. You can order a connection, transfer, modify or disconnect as required. 

These offers are provided under the existing UFB Reference Offer.
