Some customers could be connected to fibre in just 5 working days!
December and January are traditionally lighter periods for fibre orders, as our consumers’ days are filled with family events and Christmas getaways at this busy time of year. This means in many areas there’s more service company capacity and the fibre leads times are shorter.
Pre-Christmas social media - promoting shorter fibre lead times
In the lead up to Christmas, we will be running two social posts on Facebook and Instagram to promote the short lead times in some of our fibre areas, and stimulate fibre demand in those areas.
We are driving people to askforbetter.co.nz to check if they can get fibre.
In those locations where fibre is available and lead times of 5 working days or less are forecasted, we are testing two posts across Facebook and Instagram.
Post 1:
Copy: Wait for Santa, not your broadband. With short connection times for standard residential fibre installations, now’s a great time to upgrade.
Link headline: Get fibre sorted before Christmas

Post 2:
Copy: Got the whole family coming around for Christmas? That’s a whooole lot of people using your broadband, making it go slower and slower. With short connection times for standard residential fibre installations, now’s the perfect time to upgrade to fibre.
Link headline: Christmas = short connection times for fibre.

The posts will run for one week from Friday 8 December until Friday 15 December.
Targeted locations:
We are targeting fibre areas where forecasted lead times are 5 working days or less. These are;

As before, the posts will promote the short fibre lead times in some areas, however the messaging will change to have a New Year spin on it.
